late afternoon.

Its October.

The late afternoon shadows cover our backyard.

For the first time in months its not 250 degrees outside.

My honey comes home from the gym or work, the kids are done with homework, dinner is cooking.

We all end up in the backyard. 

Baseball happens.

Grass eating happens.

Phone pictures happen.

It doesn't matter that a load of laundry is waiting in the dryer

or that the salad we were gonna have with dinner won't be as fancy as planned.

Life just happens.

and it is so good.
