Our tortoise ran away.
(Not something you hear often)
My kids are devastated.
The side gate was left open and he slowly crawled his ginormous self to the street behind our house.
I filed a police report after driving and walking neighborhoods in search of our modern day dinosaur.
(Naturally)
The police told us about a 911 call that gave us details about his last moments near our home.
Apparently a lady ( with the help of a man) in a black Mercedes, picked up ignacho and drove away.
We were hoping they were trying to save his life until his owners were located, but alas, after putting up signs and asking around, it appears he is gone forever.
Hopefully they give him the hearts of romaine like we did.
Willis pets don't seem to have a long shelf life... And this one wasn't even my fault!
I think we will be buying a new tortoise soon.... Hopefully it walks slower that Ignacio... If that's possible.
