Jake spent the weeks before conference researching, choosing, and eBay bidding on Lego sets.
As we won the auctions and the packages arrived, jake and I couldn't wait to show the kids and build Lego cities during general conference. [ keep everyone quiet AND awake!} It became something we all looked forward to. Our kids would sneak into our closet and stare at the lego boxes that were "hiding" for the last week. I'd hear giggling and sound effects. Then I'd know.
And I'd smile.
I was just as anxious for the weekend as they were.
General conference weekend is different than any other.
Everyone is home.
We hang out in pjs.
Eat yummy food.
We laugh and ignore the rest of the planet.
We built Lego cities.
And my favorite thing of all...
Listen to our prophet and apostles.
Our home is filled with the spirit and I am reminded of truths I already knew.
It is truly a spiritual recharge.
Saturday and Sunday we spent hours (and hours) building and pretending.
It was pure bliss.
I don't wanna wait 6 more months to do this again.
