My Ashlinn had a birthday.
She turned 11.
Im in denial.
But she is thrilled!
For her birthday she got to choose a friend to bring a friend with us to Jumpstreet.

She chose her BFF Jenny.

Well, within 15 minutes of getting there, Jenny had flipped and landed on her hand.
….and broke 2 fingers.

Our party was cut short so we could bring Jenny home.
Not the bday Ash was hoping for… but we promised her a return trip another day.
The next day was her actual birthday.
She asked for a book and bike locks.

She has asked several time over the last year or two for a phone/ipod/tablet/ electronic something.
Jake and I laughed everytime.
Not happening we'd say.
Well, we finally changed our tune.
She got my old iPhone
{without a calling plan}
She couldn't have been more excited.
She and I text all of the time now.
Its actually a ton of fun.
Maybe this whole growing up/texting thing isn't so bad.
