This picture was taken 2 hours before my water broke.
In the bathroom of Pima park.
{an 8 on the ghetto bathroom scale}
Little did I know that he was coming just a few hours later.

instant love!!
Perfect in every way.
We sat and stared at this face for 2 days.
My life was in a state of bliss.
And who could blame me?
5 Willis boys.
3 generations of greatness
5/8/14
the Willis 6.
my heart be still.
{family baby guesses}
yes, the 7th was my guess.
Miles had the worst skin adjustment than any of the other kids.
His eyelids were swollen shut because of the little bumps.
Day 3 looked painful.
Mothers Day 2014
His first smiles at Daddy.
aaaand his first stink face.
1 week old
After his early morning feeding, Miles would sleep on the couch.
One morning I came out to the family room to find Ashlinn asleep curled up next to her baby brother.
sleep smiles.
aka dreaming of heaven.
He likes the sling!
2 week old Dr appointment
Well loved!
and now the chubby has begun...
Miles began as a really mello little man.
But our nights and evenings turned sour really quickly.
There were nights that I truly got 45 minutes of sleep.
I was a living zombie.
The only way to keep Miles from crying was to bounce on the yoga ball….
Or if the yoga ball wouldn't cut it, we were in the backyard on the trampoline.
That was the saving grace.
A few weeks before Miles was born we made it an under ground trampoline.
I am positive that was a tender mercy.
I can't imagine climbing up and down the trampoline ladder and through the net at 2 am every night… while holding a screaming newborn.
Jake was my hero during this time.
He would be my tag team.
All hours of the night and evening he would take turns bouncing our baby boy.
Even when he was leaving for work in a few hours.
Luckily by the time Miles was 4 weeks old, we had found that he had a milk protein intolerance.
By cutting dairy out of my diet, he was a new baby.
He was a darling gem And we were sleeping again.
But those nights on the trampoline will always be a memory of those first few weeks of his life.
