We decided to do what we love most.. Spend time as a family and HIKE!
We headed up to Payson and hiked in on a Friday afternoon. It was the perfect time!
All of the other hikers and swimmers were heading out for the day as we went in. We had the water hole to ourselves for nearly the entire time. The water was cold, but the experience was SUPER fun! We all decided this was a favorite!
We stopped and ate in Payson on the way home and then we watched all of the kids fall asleep on the drive.
The perfect day!
The very next day, a huge monsoon storm with flash flooding came through water wheel and killed
several people hiking and swimming there. We felt so blessed to have been safe, but are heartbroken for another families sadness.
