we loaded up the fam. and headed to good ole' Prescott, az.
We had no major plans except to stay at a hotel with an indoor pool and go to Out of Africa (a zoo)
( oh, and eat at restataunts)
{of course}
Although we had hours of fun swimming in the hotel pool,
That dear pool will never be the same again... after crew barfed all over the deck post swallowing too much pool water and Tate diarrhea-ed in the water after what he thought was a "roody".
( we are classy folk)
( the good news is that they had more than enough chlorine in that thing to instantly disinfect...anything!)
The zoo was amazingly fun.
The fact that it is privately owned and doesn't have to follow basic government safety regulations allowed us to touch and see animals up close that you would never get to see up close at the city zoo.
The fact that the kids had their fingers through the chainlink fence with salivating tigers on the other side was exciting... Especially after Tate tried throwing rocks at them. :)
{oh boy}
We took a safari and we fed a giraffe , zebra, ostrich, antelope, ect.
We saw tortoise, porcupines, giant snakes, prairie dogs, a white tiger, and loads of other critters.
{all within touching distance...had we chosen to do so}
We didn't stay for all of the Shows, which I hear are fab, but I am not much of a crowd person... With kids at least.
It was loads of fun and just as relaxing as all vacations should be.
I heart family time!
the white tiger
i told you it was a relaxing vacation!
these kids are hilarious!
With Tate sleeping... and completely beyond us waking him, Hallies famed picture poses, Crews one eyeglass piece missing, Ashlinn's constant story telling, and Macy's sass a frass, Jake and I were laughing the entire time.
{we almost wanted to hide out for a few more days...or weeks}
but alas, school had to begin again and life goes back to its busy schedule.
{only 7 more weeks until summer!!!}
{but who's counting?}
