vocabulary.

I read the other day that stay at home moms with toddlers are only using a tiny percentage of their vocabulary in their day to day lives.
{so I thought about it}
{and i totally agree}
Here is a list of words and phrases I have used everyday for about the last 8 years...

- what's your magic word?
- are you poopy?
-share please.
- boogars are not food.
-couches are for bums... not feet
- use your words
-say sorry
- that's a sad choice
-sad choices make us sad, huh?
- that doesn't belong to us
- _____ is not food
- yucky!
- did you wipe/flush/wash?
- that word is not kind
- please wait until after the prayer to eat
- soft hands please
-poop goes in the potty
-stay by mommy
- that is an outside voice
-are these your underwear?
- i love you more
- where are your shoes?
- clean up, clean up, ...
- we already ate mac n' cheese yesterday
- food stays at the table
- daddy is almost home, let's clean up fast!
- fruit snacks are not a fruit
- i am the luckiest mommy in the world

i am sure there are a gazillion more...
{and i feel amazingly blessed to have the chance to use them}
{every day}
