Fun to be {3}

This week Crew turned 3!

 (sorry, I had my camera on the wrong setting so a bunch of these are blurry)

He didn't really understand that it was "his day", but he was more than thrilled to get gifts.

Of course he got more of Thomas' friends...a train and the helicopter.

He also got a cool pair of skate shoes that he will not wear yet.

Since Crew is not a fan of large groups of people, we did a simple family party in the backyard.

He could be himself and use all of his new verbal skills he has aquired in the past month.

Three years old is a big age for kids with special needs. He stops getting the speech and ocupational therapy and early intervention he was getting before. We had an 1 1/2 hour meeting on his birthday with his team (case managers, liscensing workers, therapists. ect.) to decide on his new goals. He will start going to special preschool in January. Some of his other 3 year old goals are:

-Potty training

-Dressing and undressing himself

-Answering yes/no questions

- Identify colors without comparing them to a train the same color. :)

We began the goals right away. Making undressing into a game makes it a little more fun.

But, just a little.

       Good job Three year old Crew!!!! He almost has it already!
