(comes in third to Thanksgiving and Christmas)
I wanted to start a family tradition for Valentine's Day. ' cuz there isn't one.
{ I thought alot}
Then I realized dinner and a valentine goodie for my {loves} would be plenty of tradition.
I set the table with a table cloth and actual dishes.
{gutsy, I know.}
I made a fancy lasagna (with wheat bow tie pasta for little mouths) and heart shaped wheat garlic bread.
Jake and I set out the little goody bags I made earlier in the week.
{I felt excited like Christmas morning for the kids to see what we had set out for them}
It was fun to see their faces.
{the mess proved how much they loved it}
{quite a bit}
I felt lucky to have an entire Valentine weekend celebration, since V-day was on Sunday.
{plenty of evenings for hot dates and yummy food}
{yes ladies, he's taken. ;)}
We were in good company...
Our bellies were full and our sides hurt from laughing.
{that is a work-out...right?}
I heart Heart- Day 2010!

I love your new tradition. I think it's great to find fun ways to show your kids how much you love them. You are a great mom!
I didn't even think about getting valentines for my kids. What a nice mommy you are. I fall more in love with your zebra banner everytime I see it. Thanks for being our v-day company, we had so much fun with you guys
THIS seems like one of your many callings in life. I'm with these two that being a great mom just comes so easily to you. The bags you made for them are adorable!! We love this holiday but need to show it more with some decorations. IT's Adam's birthday, so I'm just usually trying to differentiate the two and make it feel like it's his day, and not mine.
