"Mom can we Paleeeeeese go to the public library? paleeeeeeeeese?"
I have heard this loads of times lately.
But today I decided to be a good parent {and we had no other exciting plans} so we loaded up in the car and headed to the library.
{without Tate since his preschool has a different fall break schedule}
We were definitely the loud ones in the silent library.
{since Crew's idea of an "inside voice" is most peoples "outside voice"}
But we were able to find the books we just HAD TO read.
{and even snap a few pictures as we navigated the cement decorative walls}
I forget how much I actually enjoy the library.
I used to take the girls to story time weekly when they were younger.
I even brought both the boys...once.
{once was enough when they were at that age}
{believe me}
I need to look the schedule up online again are start frequenting it again.
Who knows, I may even read 2 books next year!!!
{gasp}
Tate has this remarkable ability to sleep.
It is seriously a talent.
{I have heard he gets it from Jake}
{it's sadly not from me}
We walk into church each week, Tate announces that he is SOOOOO tired, and before the opening prayer is even finished Tate is typically sawing logs on the bench next to me.
{me = jealous}
After a peaceful church nap, he wakes up just in time for primary.
{I hope he is growing a testimony while sleeping}
Tate also uses this talent when driving in the car for long periods of time, when asked to clean a mess he doesn't want to clean, etc.
On Saturday we told the kids about general conference and let them know they could play/listen if they were somewhat quiet.
After a few minutes into conference, Tate looks at me and says, "Is this gonna be on for a long time?"
I answered that it would be on for 2 hours.
He then says the famous Tate line, "I am SOOO tired."
He curls up on the couch and is drooling in seconds.
I laughed as he slept the entire time... and was briefly joined by his Dad.
{the one who gifted him this grand talent}
A two generation sleeper picture.

Hahahaha....I love that last picture.
Tate sounds like my kinda kid!! Can my #3 be just like him? :) If only Collin decided to snooze during church, I might learn a thing or two!
Yay, you read a book! haha. I have heard lots about that one and have it on my list to read. Your thoughts made me decide to bump it up to the next book on my list. I need some motivation to love my mothering responsibilities more!
My jaw dropped when I heard the missionary age announcement!! So exciting! Can't say I'm not a tad jealous it didn't happen 10 years ago. Might have changed the course of things a bit. Exciting news for Jeffy! Hopefully.
