You know it's a good day in your hillbilly ways when:

the house is quiet except for muffled elk calls...

{coming from the iphone}

{streaming a hunting video from youtube}

And random voices on the phone saying things like...

"look at that rack"

or

"smoke it"

or

"that would be a great mount for my wall"

{i told you it would be hillbilly}

followed by a gunshot {or two}

followed by cheering

and sometimes happy crying from the proud hunter.

{and my children and hubby}

ahhhh, the simple things.
