Grateful for Sunday {day 20}

Today was a state wide Stake Conference

{broadcast from Salt Lake}

I was so excited to hear from 2 Apostles today.

Their words dug right into my soul.

{I love when that happens}

For the past year or two I have been praying and fasting for a great friend of mine, in my ward, who is not active in the gospel.

She and her darling, little family have started to gradually come back lately.

{My heart burns with gratitude every time I hear a bit of her newly remembered testimony or see her come to church}

Although it was stake conference and her husband wasn't able to join her, I watched this modern day pioneer walk into church with her young children.

{And wrestle them for all of the 2 hours... in metal chairs on a wood floor}

I congratulated her for making it through the meeting.

{I wanted to hug her and cheer her strength}

...but I used self control and smiled with her.

{she told me she just had to be there}

{God had told her in many not so subtle ways that she need to be active in the church again} 

{I agreed that she was where she needed to be}

{As me and my littles walked home, I silently thanked my Father in Heaven for hearing my prayers... and giving strength to my friend when she needs it most}

I know that my Father in Heaven loves His children.

I am grateful for prayer.
