muchas gracias {day 17}

We used to walk to and from school several times each week.
But somehow, the extra 10 minutes it takes to walk vs. drive, seemed to never be available lately.

But this morning there was a miracle at the Willis house.
{a miracle I tell you}

Everyone had done their morning chores and was ready to go EARLY.
{say what?}

Of course with 15 minutes to spare, everyone cheered at the opportunity to jump on their scooters to get to school.
Their school is only 3/4 of a mile away and is a nice morning wake up.
{since we walk the longer way through neighborhoods}

I smiled as I watched the trail of kids.
{all of them mine}
I could remember when it seemed like just yesterday and we were taking this same walk with Crew and Tate in the stroller.
 Hallie would often ride on the stroller handles... because she would get too tired to walk the rest of the way after dropping Ashlinn off at school.
How did they get old enough for me to drop 3 of them off at school and watch my baby boy race me home on his scooter?
{with only Macy in the stroller!}
{time flies}

After kissing their faces and watching them cross the crosswalk,
{with the help of the crossing guard}
I loaded the 3 ,now unused, scooters into the stroller and made the return trip home.

Today I am thankful for my neighborhood, my kids, and the memories of the "little things".
